Mercive & Blazar Capital enter into partnership

Written by Christian Dunbar

Blazar Capital has in recent years built a portfolio of ambitious DTC brands, where they have supported their brands with website development, among other things. The knowledge that has been built, Blazar would like to offer to other companies, and they are therefore partnering with three agency profiles with a background in Dentsu & WPP to establish the company Mercive.

Blazar Capital has experienced increasing external demand for building and optimizing e-commerce stores over a longer period. They have not yet had the capacity and setup to handle the inquiries, but this is now changing with their new partnership with Alexander, Christian, and Simon.

The collaboration has arisen from a shared understanding and vision for the future Shopify agency. A combination of Blazar Capital's commercial insight and the boys' international experience from the agency world will form the foundation for a strong partnership.

"We have long wanted to expand our e-commerce setup, and I completely fell in love with the energy of the three guys and the drive they have. Therefore, I am extremely excited about the establishment of Mercive and the future collaboration with Alexander, Christian & Simon."

– Christian Arnstedt | CEO at Blazar Capital

The three agency professionals have long worked with global brands at Dentsu & WPP and have had a strong desire to use that knowledge to develop ambitious e-commerce websites in a market with increasing complexity. The current setup suits them well for scaling the business, and they have already signed on with a number of exciting brands even before the launch.

By combining Web Development, Design, Technology & Data, Mercive will deliver tailored Shopify solutions, focusing on the entire customer journey to create a more personalized customer experience.

Alexander comes from Wunderman Thompson MAP and has extensive experience in e-commerce, having helped both global and locally anchored brands scale online. With his holistic approach to the field, he understands how to run a profitable e-commerce business. Simon brings international commercial experience from New York, where he previously led strategic projects for the agency group Dentsu. Most recently, he has supported digital transformation projects for global brands at Wunderman Thompson MAP. Christian has worked as a full-stack developer at Wunderman Thompson MAP for 6 years. Here, he has led a product team focused on the development of commercial products, efficiency, automation, and the global scaling of the company's operational organization.

"We are all grateful for the learning and the people we have met in recent years, as well as the opportunity to work with some of the world's biggest brands. Now we look forward to getting up close with ambitious DTC brands and helping them scale their business. Blazar Capital's mindset and agility fit incredibly well with the way we want to run an agency."
