Essential Foods is a luxury pet food brand operating across five markets in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, the United Kingdom and Germany with both direct to consumer and business to business sales.

The existing Magento setup limited flexibility, speed and scalability across markets. Managing both B2C and B2B within the same ecosystem required a more modern platform that could support international growth, subscription, data driven decision making and efficient operations.

The goal was to migrate to Shopify while redesigning the entire brand and ecommerce experience and establishing a future ready architecture supporting both customers and internal teams.

A unified Shopify Plus platform for B2C and B2B

We led the migration from Magento to Shopify Plus and designed and built a fully custom ecommerce experience across all markets.

The project covered both B2C and B2B setups with tailored user journeys, pricing structures and access logic. We designed a custom frontend aligned with the premium brand positioning while ensuring performance and scalability across regions.

In parallel we implemented a robust integration architecture connecting Shopify with ERP Uniconta, IEX and other supporting systems to ensure reliable data flow across products, customers, orders and inventory.

We also defined and implemented a new subscription architecture alongside CRM integrations to support automated engagement, retention and international growth.
